Did you know... that the National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) recommends your wood burning fireplace or stove be swept after each cord of wood burned??  This is to avoid excess creosote build up.  A cord of wood is 4'x4'x8' and has a volume of 128 cubic feet.

The following was emailed to us on 8/17, after Dana did an inspection for an antique stove located on Beacon Hill in Boston.  This is from the architect, Juan Guillermo Uribe Rubio with Pauli & Uribe Architects, with whom Dana met;
