Firebox Restoration in Precinct One, Dedham, Ma

A local contractor saw Dana working down the street from his house for four days. Was pleased with what he saw & asked Dana if he could fix his fireplace.  In this picture you can see that the back wall of the firebox has been removed in preparation for a new back wall to be constructed.  For another fireplace restoration project click

The damper is in place, it looks like a hood at the top of the firebox.  The lintel is also in place.  The lintel is the metal piece across the top of the firebox opening in front of the damper.  For earlier progression photos click

Custom Copper Raincaps in Boston

This is one of the copper raincaps we installed in Boston's South End.  We did not have time to take pictures of the lining aspect of this job.  Dana & Bruce spent over 10 hours removing the old deteriorated liner & installing the new one.  The only masonry part of this job is the new crown to which the cap is adhered.  To see the liner prior to installation
