Revere St., Boston (smoke pipe work)

This is a look at the smoke pipe work (sometimes referred to as breeching pipe) in the basement.  All of the smoke pipe was replaced due to corrosion from condensation.  It enters the base of the chimney above the cleanout door, it is then attached to the liner using a tee and a tee cover before the hole in the chimney is sealed.  In the future when the flue needs to be swept or inspected we open the cleanout door, remove the tee cover & then run brushes!  For other pictures of this job  http...

Revere St., Boston liner job (part 2)

A Week in Winthrop (part one of rebuild)
